Chapter 133: Chapter 133 One room RAPHAEL “I’ll drive.” She offered. Being behind the wheels was terrifying enough so I didn’t hesitate to pull over. I got down and we switched positions. But as soon as she hit the highway, my heart fell, probably to the floor. She was driving too fast...overtaking as many cars as possible. If she was ready to die, I wasn’t. “Slow down.” I murmured but she increased her speed. “Slow down!” I yelled holding onto anything I could reach for my dear life. She squealed in excitement. How is she having fun in this? “MONA! STOP THE CAR.” I cried.
I shouldn’t have let her drive. I silently started praying for a divine intervention of a sort. And when she finally pulled off...I undid my seatbelt and got down from the car.
MONALISA I alighted from the car to find my husband throwing up. Seriously? “Aren’t you feeling well?” I asked. “The only sick person here is you.” He let out, wiping off his lips with an handkerchief. “What did I do?” “You almost had us killed.” “How?” “Who on earth drives like that?” I shrugged. “It was better than what you were doing behind the wheels. And I never expected you to be so weak.” He straightened. “Weak, my foot. I’m a very strong man.” I shook my head. What kind of man was he anyway?
We walked over to the reception desk after he had gotten a hold of himself. “Hello...we’re Mr and Mrs Moretti, someone already worked out the reservation and all...” Enzo explained. “Let me have a look...” Her eyes darted past the laptop in front of her and then she nodded at us. “You’re on room 201.” She announced and handed Enzo the key. I turned around to move but stop when I saw Enzo didn’t move an inch. “Enjoy your stay.” The receptionist said with a slight bow. “Where’s the other key?” He asked. “What key?” “We’re two...we need two rooms.” “Oh...a room was booked for you two.” “We can’t stay in one room!” He lashed out startling me and the receptionist. I frowned. “And why’s that?” He looked at me and then at the receptionist. “I have to make a call.” And then I watched him skitter away. I crossed my arms. . This man keeps getting more and more strange.

RAPHAEL On getting to a secluded place, I quickly gave Dante a call. He picked up on the second ring. “Did you have a safe trip?” “That’s not the issue right now. Why did you book a room?” “It’s your honeymoon. It’s only natural that you share a room with your wife.” “Wife? Are you forgetting that she’s not my wife?!” “Even if we’re trying to thread with caution, Raph. We can’t make anyone suspect that you might not be Enzo.” “Still...I can’t share a room with her! It’s inappropriate and we’d be here for two weeks...this is driving me insane.” “Well, I didn’t want to tell you this until it was certain. One of our men found some information about Steven. He was one of the employees who was with Enzo that day of the crash...our sources say he’s alive so if we can get to him...he might provide some information about Enzo. I believe we’re very close to finding him so you might just have to pretend for a few more days.” “Still...I can’t sleep in the same room with her. You know....” “You already assured me before that nothing would happen between you two. So I see no reason why you should feel scared. Women hardly make advances towards men. So I’m sure if you don’t try to do anything with her...she might be quietly waiting and if she makes mention of consummating the marriage...find an excuse to hold her off for now.” I slowly hung up. Women hardly make advances towards men? If only he knew that Mona was different. God. She’s been bluntly asking me to have sex with her! Ahh! Why did I ever agree to this? Ruefully, I walked back to her at the desk and she slung me a sardonic look. She spun and left me to carry all our stuff. Being a man was hard. And being Enzo was harder.
I struggled with our stuff into the suite. I was super glad when I saw how big it was. The couch was far from the bed. Yes...I can sleep on the couch. “I’ll get freshen up now. Care to join me?” She asked. I put on a stern look. “I have some calls to make. Go ahead without me.” She grinned and walked away. I blew out air from my mouth and sat on the bed trying to come up with a plan in any case she starts anything. The sound of the shower turning on made me looked at the closed doors of the bathroom. She must be naked behind those doors.
Don’t imagine anything. Don’t imagine anything, Raph. Aish! After a while, the door opened and she walked in with just a towel. They should really consider making towels longer. I picked up my cellphone and pretended to go through it. She bent in front of her luggage and brought out a lotion. Seeing her taking off her towel, I quickly turned away from her. I winced wondering why I agreed to this. What were we thinking? This is a lot more...ugh. I don’t even know the right word to describe it.
