Chapter 49: Illyath, and Beasts Companions As a Biomancer, Xin understood that the level and number of Golems he could create per day would depend on the Tier in which he placed the [Construct Golem] skill.
With three Tier-1 slots and one Tier-2 slot currently available, he decided to allocate [Animate Object], [Teleportation], and [Master Artisan] to the remaining slots.
The [Teleportation] spell at LV.1 allowed him to teleport within a hundred-meter distance once a day, providing a useful mobility option.
[Master Artisan] at LV.1 boosted his crafting proficiency and increased the chances of creating high-quality items by 10%.
Meanwhile, [Animate Object] at LV.1 granted him the ability to animate simple objects once daily, offering various tactical advantages in the battlefield.
Satisfied with his choices, Xin returned to Illyath, who had another gift for him –– an egg.
The egg was adorned with an array of metals, radiating a warm and comforting aura.
Curiously, Xin asked what it was, even though it was obviously an egg. He was just expecting more because Illyath was a Fallen Angel –– a higher being.
Illyath’s eyes twinkled with warmth as she replied, "It’s a famillar, something that will aid you in your journey ahead as a Biomancer."
As he held the egg in his palm, Xin felt an immediate bond with it.
[CONGRATULATION! Your famillar has perfectly attuned to you!]
Its stat then became available to Xin.

Xin was familiar with the concept of pets and famillar in the game.
A Beast Tamer had the advantage of having multiple loyal beasts aiding him in his adventures. On the other hand, Mages had Famillar to support them, but they were limited to having just one.
While there were various ways to acquire famillar, summoning was one option. However, it was a costly affair, and the summoned beasts often turned out to be weak, making it a waste of money.
Hunters and Beast Tamers, on the other hand, preferred a different approach. They would confront a beast in battle, defeat it, and then form a binding connection with it, making it a loyal companion.
As for Warlocks, they had the unique ability to form contracts with beasts or even demons.
Pets and Famillar could also be obtained through shops, auctions, or from fellow players.
Based on what Xin knew, mage-related classes and hunters were limited to having only one famillar, while Beast Tamers could have the privilege of having three or four, depending on their level.
In short, there were many ways to acquire a beast’s companions, so Xin didn’t make a big deal out of the egg.
After all that was done, Xin read Illyath’s information that became available after he maxed his [Relationship Level] with her.

In Celestia, Illyath dutifully served her deity, the Lord of Light, for countless years. However, she grew increasingly frustrated with the celestial laws that prevented her from directly helping mortals in need.
One day, unable to bear the suffering of an innocent family of farmers attacked by a demon, she broke her oath and descended to their rescue.
Despite her success, her happiness was short-lived, as the Lord of Light punished her severely. He stripped her of much of her celestial power, clipped her angelic wings, and condemned her to remain on the Material Plane, forever banished from Celestia.
Filled with remorse for her transgression, Illyath still hopes to regain her deity’s favor. Though no longer bound by her celestial oaths, she attempts to abide by them as best as she can.
Rather than confronting evil directly, she aids budding heroes by providing them with wisdom and magical assistance to face the darkness on her behalf.
Appearing as an ordinary yet remarkably beautiful human woman in her early thirties, only the black scars on her shoulder blades, remnants of her majestic wings, and her otherworldly soothing presence hint at her celestial origin.
As a merchant, Illyath offers a wide variety of magic items, focusing mainly on healing and protection.
Her power as a fallen angel allows her to pacify the desire for battle in most individuals, ensuring a peaceful environment around her.
When it comes to bargains, Illyath is fair in her prices and easily persuaded by a just cause. Her soft voice and kind heart make her a trustworthy ally to those in need.

"Can I be bold as to ask if you want a quest, Lord Schrodinger?" Illyath inquired.
Xin saw no issue with that. But whether he would do the quest or not, it depended on the rewards it offered.
"I’m particularly interested in treasure washed ashore from the ancient sunken fleet," Illyath began to explain. "If you happen to possess, wield, or trade anything associated with those times, I offer a free blessing in exchange for borrowing the item for a week. During this time, I will study it and learn more about its past.
"If you don’t wish to part with the item, rest assured that I will return it after my research is complete. The strength of my blessing will be proportional to the rarity and significance of the item. So, what do you say?"

"That’s an egg, right?"
"Yes. It is."
"Eggs are supposed to be hard to acquire since rare creatures usually hatch from them. And not only that, their growth potential is unlimited! They usually grow with their partner! Why in the bright mind would you casually assign it to an NPC as a gift?!"
"Augh . . . we thought that . . . because Illyath is an angel, she should have a proper gift befitting of her status."
"And it’s the Newbie Island where it’s impossible to max any relationship with the NPCs . . . until Lord Schrodinger, that is."
". . ."
There was a moment of frustrated silence before a collective sigh filled the air.
"At this point . . . I don’t want any news related to Lord Schrodinger to avoid any unnecessary stress."
"AGREED!
