Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Talk to me Gianna was flustered from her brother’s unexpected visit. She wasn’t ready to introduce Liam to Mason yet. She didn’t think it was time. She didn’t even know when yet. She had never introduced Liam to any man before. She had always told him she was single. That was partially because for the longest, she had been in a sub/dom relationship. But even now that she was in a real relationship, she felt uneasy about introducing Mason to him. Ever since that incident, her brother had really become overprotective of her and she didn’t want anything to scare Mason away. You could have at least called that you were coming to visit today.” Gianna began. “I wanted to surprise you. Can’t you at least pretend to be happy to see your brother?” “That’s not it, Liam. What if I wasn’t home?” “Well, you’re home now.” He pointed out and sat on the couch. “You had company?” Liam gestured at the two glasses on the table. Gianna’s face flushed.”Yeah but he just left.” Liam immediately sat up. “He?” She winced.”I mean she.” “Liar. Seeing how you look right now, it was definitely a he. So who is he? Your boyfriend?” Gianna felt awkward talking about that with him. “Kind of.” “What do you mean kind of?” “It’s nothing serious. Let’s not talk about it. So what have you been up to?” “Don’t change the topic. You know what, I actually feel kind of glad that we’re talking about this. Mom and I were starting to think you were gay and perhaps didn’t know how to come out to us. I had even been meaning to tell you that it was okay to be gay and we’d wholeheartedly support you. But since you just had a man over, it means you might be straight. And now, I need to know about him. Where did you meet? What work does he do? Does he treat you right? And most importantly, I need to meet him.” “Liam, I am not telling you anything about him.” “Relax, I’m not going to scare him away. In fact, I am overjoyed you finally have someone. I just need to confirm that he’s good for you and if he isn’t, that is why I’d scare him the fuck off.” “Can we not talk about this anymore? We’ll talk about it when I’m ready.” She stated. Liam sighed and then stared intently at her. “But you are happy, right?” Gianna knew the gravity of that question. After that incident, Liam always tried to make sure she was happy. She was glad to have a brother like him. Smiling, she nodded. “I am.” He stayed a few minutes more while they talked about what’s he’s been up to, and also what she had been up to at work. Immediately, he left her apartment, she rushed to her bedroom and opened the door. She grinned as she walked up to Mason who was sitting on the bed. “That was my brother. He just came in unannounced.” “And you made me hide in here like a fool.” And that was when Gianna realized he was angry. “Liam can be really overbearing sometimes, I just didn’t know how he’d feel about you.” Mason shook his head and stood up. “I heard you. When you two talked about the man who had supposedly been at your house, you said it was nothing serious.” “You know I didn’t mean that.” “What’s wrong with letting your brother know you’re dating me?” “I just said he could be overbearing.” “Do I look like the kind of man that could be scared away by your brother?!” Gianna held his hand. “Mason, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel bad.” “What we have, I told you that I was in for life. I want to be with you for the rest of my life, I want to marry you. You told me you wanted that too. Did you lie to me?” Gianna stared up at him. The truth was, sometimes, she found it hard to believe that this man wanted all of her, including her fears, her flaws, her broken self, her trauma. Sometimes, she felt what they had wouldn’t last. She loved him. She truly did but she was scared that one day, he might change his mind about wanting to be with her. “Why aren’t you saying anything? Gianna, talk to me, you told me what we had was serious. Have you changed your mind?” Gianna panicked and suddenly, it felt as if she was back in that moment when she felt she didn’t deserve him. She thought back to all the role play they had done. The pain she had inflicted on his body. Even after all of that, he still seemed so in love with her. Did she really deserve such a man? Mason grabbed hold of her hand, tears filling his eyes. “We were fine this morning. Why won’t you reassure me that we’re still okay? Why are you being so quiet. Gianna, am I only a sub to you? You told me what we had was more than that! Talk to me.” But she still didn’t speak. Mason was losing his mind, he didn’t want to think what they had wasn’t serious or could potentially be over but he also didn’t want to lose his temper at her. He needed to clear his head. “Take it off.” He murmured, gesturing at the collar. When she took off the collar, he got dressed, grabbed his stuff and left her house. Gianna burst into tears wondering what was wrong with herself!
