Chapter 159: _Tell Them You Want To Get Railed Elian’s POV
"Are you driving at something, Alpha Prince? Or have you discovered the skill to speak in riddles?" Kyren arched his brow. "What do you mean by ’skeletons in my cupboard’?" Lucian’s smirk widened. "I didn’t say yours specifically, Rogue King. I’m referring to every soul on this planet. Even our seemingly innocent mate." His silver eyes locked on Elian just then. For the briefest second, Elian saw the clear animosity in the Alpha Prince’s eyes soften into something... warm. Relief? Regret? Longing? He couldn’t quite put his finger on it but that stare was enough to get Elian’s cheeks flushed red. He swerved his head to Axel, his shoulders relaxing when he saw the reassuring light in the Beta’s golden eyes. It was like a silent message, telling him he would always be with him regardless of whatever crazy decisions he made. [Like travelling across the continent for dick—sorry. To be with your third mate.] "Again... more riddles, Alpha Prince." Kyren yawned, placing his right hand in front of his mouth. "If you have something to say to me, say it right here and right now. No need for stalling." Elian silently blinked at the rogue king, trailing his eyes to Lucian next.

No need for stalling." Elian silently blinked at the rogue king, trailing his eyes to Lucian next.
Why did it seem like both of them knew something that he didn’t?
"Stalling would be a waste of time, lord Kyren." Lucian shook his head, bowing slightly.
The gesture reeked of mockery but if it agitated Kyren, Elian couldn’t tell.
"I’m just keeping what I have to say for when we’re chanced to speak privately," Lucian added, straightening his spine again. "I’m sure you’ll be intrigued when we have our chat."
Kyren clamped his fingers together, seeming unimpressed as always. "A chat, eh? Very well. I can’t wait to know what you have to say. But first..."
The rogue king clapped once, rising from his throne. "All this banter and fake breaths wasted on ’peace’ has gotten me starving. It’ll be unpleasant if I don’t welcome my guests with food, no?"
He swerved his head to Elian, gesturing for him to take his hand.
[Well, damn. Seems like he’s not letting you out of his sight anytime soon.]
. Elian’s heart beat heavily while Kyren continued. "There’s a breakfast banquet awaiting you two in my dining room. Please... follow me."
Lucian and Axel glanced at each other, as if pondering whether that was a good idea.
If Elian had learnt anything from past meals involving his mates, it was always heated with enough drama to burn Evaros to the ground.
Talk more about one solely involving him and his mates.
Gods...
"We’ll be honoured to have breakfast with you, Lord Kyren." Axel’s voice finally broke through, beaming with practised respect.
At that moment, Elian felt the eyes of all three of them fixed on him, as if each of them were having a telepathic showdown debating who was better.
[Just a few minutes or so of breakfast... What could possibly go wrong?]
.
.
"Have some more wine." Kyren snapped his fingers when they got to the grand dining room.
Like most of the aesthetics in this palace, the dining room was polished with black marble pillars and red paint on the wall. Huge windows tinted red ushered in the morning sunlight peaking through ashen clouds outside.
The dining table itself was large and rectangular, made of a black wooden oak that was cold to the touch and probably worth more than most families’ annual income.
"You hoping to get us drunk, Lord Kyren?" Lucian asked, sitting poised at the opposite end of the table alongside Axel. "I—"
Before he could make another sentence, Kyren’s magic took effect, causing a bottle of moon dew to levitate off his side of the table before teleporting right in front of Lucian.
The Alpha Prince paused, his lips pressing into a thin line as he blinked at the bottle.
Elian flinched slightly when Kyren tapped his fingers on the table a few times. "Oh, come on, Alpha Prince. It’s wine. A few glasses here and there shouldn’t do much to you."
’If only he knew how much of a lightweight I am.’ Elian thought to himself.
[Oh, fruitcake. He does. With your noodle arms and eyes that seem like you’re transitioning into death’s realm, anyone who thinks for a second that you can take anything alcoholic is probably delusional.]
Elian clicked his tongue, managing to keep a composed smile in front of Kyren.
Meanwhile, Lucian finally gave in, grabbing the moon dew bottle and pouring himself a glass. "I suppose a few more glasses wouldn’t hurt."
Elian lowered his head, focusing on chowing down on the steak in front of him. He took a few bites, savouring the taste, sipping through his taste buds.
But then he couldn’t help but notice Kyren’s watchful gaze as he ate his meal. And then Lucian. Even Axel.
No one else was in the large dining room, making the intense staring from the three men all the more unnerving.
[This might be your shot to complete that special mission. Quickly, faint dramatically and tell them you want to get railed.]
Elian rolled his eyes, clearing his throat and bringing his gaze to Lucian. "Uh... I saw the broadcast your father made last night. Up to the part where... the Luna Queen got hit by a laser beam."
The Alpha Prince froze, his fingers trembling with unreadable emotions.
He kept his eyes locked on Elian’s face for a bit before looking away, sighing. "Yup. The whole continent saw it. Yet another attack from a Dark Hand spy."
Kyren chimed just then. "With how much those pests have lingered in your capital city, one can’t help but wonder if there’s some insider pulling them in."
Elian dragged his eyes to him, giving him a look that spelt out: "Please, stop."
Kyren merely brought his crimson eyes to his food, taking a bite from a chicken wing before grabbing a glass of wine.
"I don’t blame you for your accusatory words, Lord Kyren," Lucian remarked with a bitter smile. "The Dark Hand’s corruption has cut deep into Lunaria. I’m uncertain if my father’s link to them goes beyond monetary sponsorship."
Elian clenched his jaw, not knowing what to contribute to that.
Gosh, politics wasn’t his thing.
[Ask if his mother is okay, genius.]
Oh, right.
Elian parted his lips, about to pop the question when out of the blue, Kyren sneered beside him.
The Rogue king stood up, smashing the glass of wine in his grip on the floor, the splintered glass dropping like snowflakes.
Elian’s heart jumped into his throat, his eyes raw with confusion when he saw the cold light flickering in Kyren’s eyes.
"Who dared attempt to poison me?!"
