Chapter 83: The Golems Time seemed to blur as Xin lost himself in his task, the hours passing unnoticed as he chipped away at the rocks.
Meanwhile, Pudding was zipping around the vicinity, displaying an insatiable curiosity about its surroundings. Its inquisitive nature was on full display as it fluttered here and there, exploring the nooks and crannies.
Xin couldn’t help but smile at Pudding’s boundless energy. He was the exact opposite of Lord Schrodinger the cat.
As Pudding went about its playful exploration, its passive abilities came into play. It helped in reducing the crafting time of the various golems using the diverse resources Xin had collected.
While Pudding was engrossed in its creative endeavors, Xin remained focused on his own task. The exertion was beginning to take a toll on his muscles, and each swing of his pickaxe seemed to reverberate through his body.
Yet, he was resolute, undeterred by the physical strain.
The promise of rare and precious materials, the thrill of discovery, and the impending war with Doom Serenity spurred him onward.
Occasionally, a glimmer of brilliant color would catch his eye –– a flash of a gemstone or a vein of glistening ore that held the promise of untold riches.
With practiced precision, Xin carefully collected his finds, his heart quickening with each valuable addition to his growing collection.
There was a distinct allure in gathering ores and precious stones, their unique forms and enchanting appearances captivating Xin’s senses.
Amidst the quiet solitude of the mine’s depths, Xin found a sense of satisfaction. The weight of his worries and the distractions of the outside world faded into the background, replaced by the primal satisfaction of the hunt and the thrill of unearthing hidden treasures.
Intermittently, Xin paused his mining efforts as a new Golem took shape. These simple constructs were fashioned from the fundamental materials — boulders, Earth Essence, and Silver Ingot.
[ACQUIRED! Basic Golem Blueprint!]
ǁ Basic Golem LV. 50 ǁ

CONS: 1 000
INT: 5

It had incredible HP, STR, and CONS. But its DEX would be a hindrance.
Maybe he could add some special materials to make it quicker? Xin thought.
It also had two basic skills like [Multiattack] and [Slam].
The Basic Golem could be used as a Tank. Xin mused to himself. However, he could probably evolve it into a more powerful creature with the right materials.
Thanks to the strategic placement of his skill [Create Golem] in his Tier-5 slot, these Level 50 Golems were the quickest and simplest to craft.
However, Xin soon realized that crafting fifty Golems all at once was an unattainable feat. The duration varied widely depending on the materials utilized, ranging from as short as 5 seconds to as long as 5 minutes, a timeframe significantly shortened by his and Pudding’s passive abilities.
Pudding’s 50% reduction in crafting time proved invaluable, preventing the Golem creation process from becoming overly time-consuming.
As Xin continued his mining endeavors, he patiently awaited the completion of each Golem’s crafting process. To his delight, he discovered that by employing special materials like elemental stones, the resulting Golems gained unique elemental powers and resistances.
For instance, using a [Thunder Stone] endowed the Golem with Lightning resistance and bestowed upon it an additional skill, [Thunder Roar].
Similarly, employing a [Fire Stone] granted fire resistance and the skill [Fire Punch], and so forth.
Notably, these elemental Golems displayed distinct appearances. The Fire Golem radiated with vibrant red hues, exuding an intense heat.
The Frost Golem was all white with ice blocks covering its body.
The Wind Golem possessed a subtle green tint and a swirling lower body reminiscent of a whirlwind.
The Earth Golem boasted an earthen palette, with mud running through its form.
The Thunder Golem sported rocky spikes protruding from its surface, accompanied by intermittent sparks.
By incorporating a mix of elemental stones, Xin could create a Golem that resisted multiple elements and wielded an array of elemental skills.
This particular Golem, on the other hand, was massive in size, its movements ponderously slow. Its form appeared to be a mishmash of different elemental components, each one affixed to the other in a seemingly haphazard manner. The result was a Golem that resembled a creature straight out of a mad scientist’s laboratory, a modern-day Frankenstein’s monster.
Despite its sluggishness and lack of remarkable physical attributes, this Golem held an unexpected surprise. Its high INT value of around 5000, stood in stark contrast to its unwieldy appearance. What truly set this Golem apart, however, was its incredible magical range.
Looked like it didn’t need to move around as it fire elemental magic from where it stood.
The potential of these creations thrilled Xin, bolstering his confidence in the impending battle.
Yet, Xin remained cautious. He recognized the formidable challenge posed by his opponent, a Level 92 player likely equipped with a Tier-9 slot for a potent special skill.
Moreover, the crafting time for these elemental Golems was approximately one minute or more, posing a potential drawback.
Additionally, their low DEX stat required some adjustment to enhance their performance.
Determined to overcome these obstacles, Xin remained focused on refining his strategy and maximizing the potential of his elemental Golems.
Xin continued to mine and create Golems as he did, but this time, he used Very Rare stones as special materials.
When he used [Stellarite Ores], the Golem acquired celestial affinities, granting it enhanced magical abilities and higher INT than STR. Its spells also leaned on magic.
There were also very rare elemental stones like:
Emberheart Emberite: A glowing ember-like ore that pulses with inner heat. If used to create a golem, it could harness the power of fire. This Golem could unleash fiery blasts and engulf enemies in flames.
And also,
Tempestium Core: Harvested from the heart of violent storms, the tempestium core was a volatile ore used to create golems with control over wind and lightning. These golems could summon powerful gusts and unleash devastating lightning strikes.
But the best one so far was when Xin added [Titanium Corestone]. A dense and highly durable ore, and if used, Golems forged with this material were known for their immense strength and resilience, boosting an incredible Physical and Magical Defense of 5 000.
However, they didn’t add anything else to the other stat.
